There is a lot of excitement that comes with race morning - the early starts, the crowds, the bright colors of running gear - all up before sunrise. A lot of times, we have finished our races before most people are out of bed. Race days come with a sense of fun, excitement, and achievement.
Virtual races are a fun way to be part of the race day spirit but come with many additional benefits.
As an added bonus, we're donating 10% of registration fees for this race to Charming Pet Rescue.
You run on your schedule. When completing a virtual race, you don't need to get up at the crack of dawn to make sure you are at the start line on time. You race when it's most convenient for you.
No parking issues. Since you're racing when you want to race, you don't have to worry about competing with thousands of other racers for those precious few parking spots.
Race Swag. You still get the medals to show off your accomplishments.
Race with faraway friends. You have the ability to join with friends from all over the world to complete a common goal.
Fewer rules. If you want to run with a stroller (or might we suggest your pup!), it's no problem. You get to decide what's appropriate for you.
Run at your pace. In a virtual race, there are no cutoff times. So if you're just getting into running or recovering from an injury, you don't need to worry about the time cutoffs at any point in the race.
Don't run with a dog? No problem; we welcome everyone who wants to earn a medal while helping needy pups.
At RacePups, we have worked hard to create a virtual racing platform that adds back the goal setting and excitement of races with the safety of staying socially distant. By joining in our virtual races along with your favorite four-legged running companion, you will have the opportunity to virtually meet up with other runners and participate in the race day fun.
